  I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the staff and support staff for their superior after care, heartfelt compassion,and resourcefulness after the death of our beloved son, James. Although we did not use their services at the time of his death because of distance, we have since taken advantage of their superexcellent aftercare services. After burying our son, my husband and I felt like as if we were thrown into a unfamiliar black pit, and had no idea how to keep on living. Once we were introduced to Christy-Smith's Aftercare Services, we took full advantage of everything they offered...Stepping Stones Support Group, continuous counseling services offered by Brenda Zahnley, annual holiday programs, the annual Cherish the Children Walk, and the availability of checking out from the wealth of books on grief offered at the Resource Center. We are approaching our son's 9th Heaven date, and yet, to this day, they continue to bless our family with the aftercare programs they offer. I am convinced that our son led us to them and we are so grateful that they have been with us over this past near- decade. Their compassionate, extraordinary care for us has made this grief journey more bearable. Thank you! "I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly."
